Dear All,

As IE support was ended from Jun,2022, I try to view define.xml V2.0 through Edge or Chrome.

I converted the xml to html using SAS PROC XLS. But, I want the file format of the definition to be in xml format and I don't want to modify IT security policy either.

So, is there any solution to view define.xml in Edge or Chrome ? e.g. modifying Tag : <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge"/>

Thank you for your help.

Best regards,

MinJi

Hi

Even if you use Edge or Chrome of the default, an XML file with a style sheet in the local environment may not be displayed.
You open with start option of [--allow-file-access-from-files],
and you become able to see Edge or Chrome if you perform drag & drop of an XML file in window of the browser.
For example, it is encoded start in PC-SAS: x '"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --allow-file-access-from-files';

When even this is no use, it may be necessary to turn off "Start-Up Boost" by setting of Edge.

Bypassing security may not be the best idea.

You can also create an HTML rendition that opens in any browser:  https://swhume.github.io/blog-2022-generate-html-from-xml.html
