How to generate define.xml using latest version?

Hi,

You have a few options. You need to create an Excel spec that Community then uses to generate the XML file.  You can create the Excel spec manually or by copying your existing metadata specifications into our format.

Another option is to have Community extract metadata from your SAS XPORT datasets directly and create the Excel spec for you.  To do this, you can go to Define.xml --> Create Spec.

Note that Community will only be able to populate a handful of the various metadata pieces that feed into a define.xml. You will need to complete the Excel spec by adding in the missing parts (methods, document references, etc.).

Once you have an Excel Spec, you can generate a define.xml by going to Define.xml --> Generate Define.  Select your Excel spec, and hit Generate.

Hope this helps!
