I have a set of split QS domains (by QSCAT, which indicates the kind of questionnaire).  Per agency's request, I need the define.xml to output the SASDatasetName attribute of ItemGroupDef to contain the physical filename, e.g., QSAQ for ACQ and QS36 for SF-36, while the Name attribute for all these questionnaire domain datasets to read QS universally.

I tried to fiddle with config\data\Define Metadata 1.0.xml, as well as config\config-sdtm-3.1.2.xml, but to no avail.

Any pointers will be appreciated.

Anthony

Hi Anthony,

I don't believe that there is currently any workaround for this particular issue outside of manually manipulating the define.xml document, as it doesn't look like the current code will ever add that attribute.

Since filling the SASDatasetName attribute involves special consideration when it comes to split datasets, we'll likely be taking care of this issue when we release updates that address requests for greater split dataset support. Development in this area has been prioritized, so you should be seeing functionality like this in one of the upcoming releases.

Tim

Do you know if this issue has been resolved?

Thanks

Hi Ted,

This issue is resolved in a new version of the CDISC define.xml standard, which is scheduled for its final release by the end of the year.

Best Regards,

Sergiy
