Hi,

I generated a define.xml successfully using new version Pinnacle21 Community. However, the validation on define.xml gave me the following error message related to codelist for PK units of measure. These errors were not seen from Pinnacle21 Community 2.2.0. Can you please provide suggestions to fix?

DEFINE; Define Term, Define Term Code, Standard Term, Standard Term Code

h, C25529, HOURS, C25529;  DD0028 Term/NCI Code mismatch in Codelist 'PK Units of Measure'; Terminology; Error

DEFINE; CodeList, CodedValue

PK Units of Measure, h*pg/mL; DD0029; Required attribute def:ExtendedValue is missing or empty; Presence; Error

DEFINE; Define Variable, Define Codelist, Define Codelist Code, Standard Variable, Standard Codelist, Standard Codelist Code

PCORRESU, PK Units of Measure, C85494, PCORRESU, Unit, C71620; DD0118; NCI Code 'C85494' for Codelist 'PK Units of Measure' on Variable 'PCORRESU' does not match NCI Code 'C71620' for Standard Codelist 'Unit' for Variable 'PCORRESU' ; Consistency; Error

Thank you very much!

Might it be that the validator expects the codelist "PKUNIT" (which has NCI code C85494) to be assigned to PCORRESU, and that you assigned codelist "UNIT" (C71620)?
I myself always believed that the codelist PKUNIT was a subset of codelist UNIT, but I now found out that "h*pg/mL" was only in PKUNIT codelist.
So IF you used "UNIT" and have "h*pg/mL" in it, it would indeed need "def:ExtendedValue".

BUT, it is ALWAYS YOUR decision which codelist to assign (define.xml is "the sponsor's truth").

Well, high time to move to UCUM (https://unitsofmeasure.org/) anyway, which is a notation (not a list), that would solve all these "jungle of units problems" anyway.
