Hi John,

Community version of Define.xml tool requires good knowledge of Define-XML standard. There are two initial and basic types of documentation for Community users:

1. Define-XML Standard specifications from CDISC is a main reference book

2. I suggest importing examples of define.xml file included into CDISC Define-XML Standard package to create sample Excel specs.

Kind Regards,

Sergiy

That is an excellent idea.  I will do that immediately.  It never occurred to me.

However, I will quibble about your point that knowledge of the specification is required.  If a robust, plain-english, description of the define.xlsx existed, then knowledge of the spec required would be minimized.

@John: if you do not get the required information, I might be able to help you further. You can easily find my e-mail address by googling.
There is also an excellent "Define-XML" discussion group at LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/groups/4975366), to which many of the CDISC developers of the Define-XML standard contribute and/or answer questions. The "group statement" says: "This group is the official CDISC Define-XML page that will be used to discuss issues related to the development and implementation of the Define-XML standard as owned and developed by the CDISC XML Technologies Team.
No job postings or commercial promotions are allowed in this group
