Hello,

I have two part question regarding define.xml hyperlinks:

1.) Recently our company changed the IE from version 8 to version 10 and none of the links are now working for define.xml but      if I open define.xml using Firefox all links are working except the link for "Dataset". If I am in the middle of the define.xml and      try to hit the "Dataset", it doesn't work.

2.) Dose the program needs to be altered in order to use the IE v10 or is there any quick fix available.

Thanks,

Regards,

Hi Ankur,

What version of OpenCDISC are you using? 2.0 or an older version?

Also, what stylesheet (define1_0_0.xsl or define2-0-0.xsl) are you using? Did you get it from the CDISC distribution, or are you using a customized stylesheet?

Thanks, Max

Hi Max,

I am still using define1_0_0 which was circulated earlier by CDISC. I customized it only to wrap the number of CRF Pages to the next line by doing wrap instead of nowrap.

Could you using define2_0_0.xsl will resolve the issues? Please advise,

Thanks,

Ankur

Hi Ankur,

Did you create the Define.xml file with Validator 1.x or with the latest Community 2.0 version?

The define1_0_0 stylesheet only works with Define.xml v1.0, while define2_0_0 only works with Define.xml v2.0. So you need to select the correct stylesheet depending on the version of Define.xml.

Hi Max,

In addition to my message earlier. My define.xml is based on version 1.0, I am wondering if we can use define2_0_0 to make links work under IE 10.

Hi Ankur,

No, you cannot use different versions of define.xml and stylesheets.

As Max said "define2_0_0 only works with Define.xml v2.0. So you need to select the correct stylesheet depending on the version of Define.xml."

Kind Regards,

You could try the define version 1 stylesheet that was published with the updated CDISC/FDA pilot at

http://www.cdisc.org/sdtm-adam-pilot-

I believe it is more standards compliant than other version 1 stylesheets that were published earlier by CDISC. But keep in mind that stylesheets are not part of the Define-XML standard, but just published by CDISC as examples.

To be transparent: I created the stylesheet.
