Hi,

I'm trying to run Pinnacle 21 on a mac (intel mac with OS Ventura 13.1) , but when. try to open the validator, the window has a message for loading engines and validators that never finished.

In the logs I see a message related to libiokit.dylib not found.

Any idea on how to solve it?
Thanks

Hi JJ,

This is an issue with the newer MacOS releases and Community. Our team is aware of the issue and working on a fix for future versions of Community.

Kind regards,

Matt

Is there a planned new release date for version to resolve this issue? Thanks.

I am having a similar issue with P21 Community.  It required me to log in, and the screen then says  "Loading engines and configurations".  It just continues to spin, but never completes.

My PC is running: Operating System: Windows 10 Enterprise, Operating System Release  2009, Operating System Build: 19044

Hello Rick,

As the issue is occurring on Windows 10, this appears to be separate from the problem with Mac OS 12+. There may be a couple of things causing this behavior on your machine. Is Community installed on a network drive/OneDrive? This can be checked in Help > Preferences > Resources. Also, Help > Show Log File may provide additional information. When you are on the Home tab, do you see a yellow banner at the top indicating you are offline?

Feel free to provide any information (log files) as well in an email to community@pinnacle21.com

Kind regards,

Matt

Hi Matt, yes it is installed on OneDrive. Does it need to be re-installed somewhere else?

On the Home tab, I do not see anything that indicates that I am offline.

The logfile shows:

[2023-05-08T11:47:32.533Z] [error] ENOENT: no such file or directory, stat 'C:\Users\rthompso\OneDrive\Documents\Pinnacle 21 Community\configs\0000.1\rules\.SDTM.CG0644.eTag'
[2023-05-08T11:47:35.775Z] [error] {"label":"Exception: The Java process exited abnormally."}

Kind regards,

Rick

Hi Rick,

Thanks for the snippet of the logging and the mention of the installation on OneDrive.

This appears consistent with missing write permissions to the configured paths. One test you could do is to reconfigure the paths to a different location, like a local path. The default paths which you may choose to reconfigure to are:

C:\Users\<user>\Documents\Pinnacle 21 Community\configs

C:\Users\<user>\Documents\Pinnacle 21 Community\defines

C:\Users\<user>\Documents\Pinnacle 21 Community\reports

Kind regards,

Matt

Hello,

To the users impacted by the issue running MacOS 12 and later, I am happy to announce Community 4.0.2 has been released and this fix is included. If connected to the internet, Community will Auto-Update the next time you open, and also can be downloaded at https://www.pinnacle21.com/downloads.

Release Notes can be found in Help > Show App Changelog

Kind regards,

Matt
