Hi,

According to the ADaMIG, SRCSEQ is supposed to be a numeric field.  However, we recently ran P21E conformance checks on an ADaM dataset where SRCSEQ had been incorrectly defined as a text field (and actually contained concatenated strings of sequence numbers), and nothing was flagged as either an error or a warning.  Is this planned as a future check?

Thanks,

Hi Nancy,

CDISC ADaM Validation Check #200 (ADaM variables defined in ADaM IG must be the defined type (num, char)) was not implemented in Pinnacle 21 validator. It's added now and will be available the next versions of validation engine.

Thank you for reporting this issue!

Kind Regards,
Sergiy

P.S. It looks like an original version of check #200 from CDISC team was different as "Variable name present in both ADaM and ADaM IG do not have identical data types". Due to implementation challenges this rule was moved to parking lot. When CDISC team changed its check #200, it was missed by Pinnacle team.

Interesting that nobody complained about this before.
