On request of one of my customers: in the past it was possible to start the Validator GUI from command line (or from within other software) and populate the GUI fields.

Is this still possible in 3.0.0?

If yes, what are the parameters needed to fill the GUI fields? Where can we find the documentation?

Many thanks in advance,

Hi,

I downloaded the Pinnacle 3.0.0 software. However, the CLI instructions on the website seem to be more applicable for the previous Pinnacle versions since this latest version 3.0.0 does not set up individual folders such as components, java etc in the location.

Could you please post updated documentation on how to use Pinnacle 3.0.0 using CLI (Command Line Interface) since there is no components folder with the download.

Thanks,
Vidya

Hi Vidya,

Starting GUI from command line and executing CLI are two completely different things. So you might want to start a separate thread for that.
For the CLI, the documentation can be found at: https://www.pinnacle21.com/projects/validator/community-cli

I started using the CLI today and can state that the documentation is adquate, and correct, except for the parameter "--source.defne" which must be "--source.define".

Remains my own question to be answered whether the GUI can be started from command line and populated with data.

With best regards,
