Hello,

I noticed that there is a trace log on my machine with messages like the following:

2010-03-19 23:51:34,222;WARN;org.opencdisc.validator.DefaultValidator;Removing rule due to an unrecoverable exception;SD0003;
2010-03-19 23:51:34,222;WARN;org.opencdisc.validator.DefaultValidator;Removing rule due to an unrecoverable exception;SD0003;

Is this something that I should be concered about - is the validator working correctly?

Regards,

David

Hi David,

These log messages are generated when validation rules are dropped from the set of checks performed on a particular domain. In this case, it's due to some --DTC variables defined in the configuration not being present in one of your datasets, so the rule is dropped because the necessary variable isn't present.

Unfortunately the log message is not very clear about the true reason that the rule was dropped, since in this particular case it's harmless and indicates an expected, non-error condition. We'll go ahead and make a note to make this less misleading in the future.

Regards,

   Tim
