After re-downloading Alpha 2 version on Feb.26 2009, I ran the tool to check 2 SAS XPT files. Unfortunately I didn't get the results with the message "The following files were not analyzed because they were not in the format specified in the setup stage". What's the valid format? Thanks!

Hi Lin, Thank you for posting, hopefully we'll be able to get things working for you shortly. As long as you selected SAS XPORT (the default option) as the Source Data format, then the files you submitted should have been considered to be in the right format. Do you have any other .XPT files that you could test with? I downloaded the version of the Validator currently available online and was able to run it against the CDISC Pilot Data without any issue. If you're able to run it against other .xpt files, then it may be something about those particular files. If that's the case, then if you could tell us the general format (how many variables, and whether or not the datasets are empty), that would be helpful. Also, could you check if a report file was created? The file will be in the reports folder wherever you placed the Validator, and will be named with the start date and time that you ran the validation session in the tool. Regards, Tim

Thanks Tim! I used other XPT files and the tool worked well. I will post feedback in Contribute.
