Description

When things just don't seem to work

May 13, 2013

Hi,

OpenCdisc doesn't work with my new computer, the only difference with the last one is the version of Windows.

The IT team of my company tried to install other versions of Java but that wasn't the problem.

Could you help me with this problem? I think it's a problem of the 64 bits of Windows 7 and if we can not find a solution my company will not able to use OpenCdisc with Windows 7.

Thanks,

Miguel

The OpenCDISC 1.4 configuration files has things like:

<val:Varlength ID="SD1080" Variable="%Variables.Type.Basic:Char%" Minimum="2" Maximum="5" Message="%Variable% variable length is too long for actual data" Description="Variable length should be assigned based on actual stored data to avoid to minimize file size. Datasets should be resized to the maximum length used prior to splitting." Category="Metadata" Type="Information"/>

Hi OpenCDISC Forum,

We have a MS server being accessed through Citrix.  Can we install and run OpenCDISC there?  Alternatively, we also have a Unix box where the data resides.

Would you recommend installing OpenCDISC on the MS server or on a Unix box?

Thanks for your assistance w/ this.

Mike

I used the following code:   java -jar lib/validator-cli-1.3.jar

No interface window poped up. If I change cli to gui, then the window poped up. If I use gui, I could not load xpt files automatically in the batch...Anyone has an idea?

Thanks for this great new version and for the support for SDTM 1.3!

I noticed that in the new version 1.4, starting the software with the parameter "-SD:Define=..." does not seem to work anymore. This parameter passes the location of the define.xml file to the program and prefills the corresponding field in the GUI.
Did you change anything in the way parameters are passed? The other ones still seem to work ok.

Thanks in advance,

Jozef

We are upgrading to a Windows 2008 64 bit server, and when testing OpenCDISC on a large (17 million records, or 10G of data) study, I am getting various domains in the Unprocessed Sources area of the report with a Reason as "Validation Aborted". OpenCDISC appears to run and complete as usual and I am not seeing error messages pop up that would indicate a problem. This study runs fine on our old server as well as a laptop. Is there a way to trace the process so that I can tell what is going on?
