Hi there,

With the release of OpenCDISC Community 2.0, what is the future of OpenCDISC Validator if any?

Our computing environment is a Unix (soon to be Linux) based environment.  We've been able to install and use OpenCDISC Validator within our environment for the past several years.

After downloading OpenCDISC Community 2.0, which is only available for Windows or Mac platform, it looks like we may not be able to run it within our Unix/Linux environment like we are able to for OpenCDISC Validator.

Hi I have following questions -

IS OPENCDISC Validator software client software or server software?

Is it compatible with UNIX ? Can it be installed on UNIX server

Is there any possibility to validate the odm file itself with opencdisc validator? Or are there other free features?

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for suggestions as to when to run OpenCDISC. I know that we will run it before data reviews and at DBL. 
However, I was wondering if anyone is re-running it prior to submission? The thought being that a newer version of OpenCDISC Validator, with a new rule configuration was updated and we would want to see results before the FDA runs it.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi,

Per CDISC and SDTM IG - ISO 8601 format for Hours (HH) should follow :

[hh] = two digits of hour (00 through 23) (am/pm is NOT allowed).

But the Open CDISC Validator even passes the data when hh = 24, whereas ideally it should fail such a data point.

Any comments.

I see that the Rules used in OCV 1.4.1 are not the same as shown in Rules Repository for SDTM 3.1.2 and SEND 3.0.

Ideally the latest updates should be synchronised in Rules Repository as well, right ?

Incase I am mistaken, May I know which is best to be considered as base rules to validate against - Rules Repository or OCV 1.4.1 Report - Rules Tab.
